Provides a genetic analysis of pesticide resistance in weeds, insects, and plants. Examines which genes are involved in resistance, the molecular basis of resistance, and how resistance evolves in pest populations. Examines several strategies for managing resistance to new pesticides, including ALS-inhibiting herbicides, transgenic plant/pesticides that carry the gene for Bacillus thuringiensis, and sterol biosynthesis inhibiting fungicides.
