A series of projects with complete step-by-step photographs show how to capture the beauty and translucency of orchids, daffodils, tulips, irises and poppies. The techniques are many and varied - they include using outliners and wax, blending colours, overpainting, painting on to dry and damp silk, painting with broken colour, etching on silk velvet and discharging. The glorious pictures will inspire all those interested in silk painting and textiles to explore the versatility and breadth of this exciting medium.
