Dave Haslam is a writer, broadcaster and DJ who DJ'd at the Hacienda club in Manchester and has since played worldwide. He's written three books, including Manchester England - a biography of Manchester. On World Book Day in 2003 Manchester, England was declared one of the ten books that best represent England (alongside books by Jeremy Paxman, Zadie Smith, and George Monbiot). His journalism has appeared in NME, The Times, Guardian, London Review of Books, and New Statesman.
