"The textbook presents a compact and contemporary overview and is not so much a reference book as a working tome more suitable for familiarization with current trends in treatment and diagnosis in these various areas.

.I found this textbook very informative and a pleasure to read. I believe it would be most useful for young surgeons in training but I also think it has much to offer students of surgery at the undergraduate level and would be a useful acquisition by hospital libraries. It is a text which provides updates on the contemporary management of areas of surgery that one might not be regularly involved in."
