Descrizione libro Trade Paperback. Condizione: Near Fine. First Edition. 254 Pages Plus three pages of notes from the author. Five inked-lines author's inscription. No defects noted to this otherwise as new book with flawless interior text pages. In this novel Johnny Narbona and Sam Tsosie are two Navajo Indian uranium miners who are among the many that contracted lung cancer. Suspecting that something was wrong in the mines, they contact an attorney at Navajo Legal Services. The subsequent investigation reveals a government conpiracy, which includes refusal to make the mines a safer place to work and conducting tests on the miners to determine how much radiation they can stand. The novel is set between 1950 and 1970 in New Mexico, and is partly based on fact. It includes an investigation that breaks through the classified information plus barrier, a romance, a scalping, a trial, and a fair amount of Navajo lore. The author graduated from the University of Florida, served in Korea with the Air Force, and received a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He worked as an aerospace engineer and an engineering professor before attending law school at the University of New Mexico. Then he practiced law and served as a municipal judge for ten years. He lives in New Mexico with his wife. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter. This is his first published novel. Inscribed By the Author. Codice articolo 18100
