"Turkoman Carpets was originally published in a smaller format for the highly successful 1970 carpet exhibition in Hamburg . Half of the pieces shown in this new edition were in the original; these have been re-photographed and new plates have been made. The rest of the pieces were not in the original exhbition and most are published here for the first time. This work is a significant contribution to our knowledge of Turkoman rugs which have only relatively recently attracted the serious attention of both collectors and scholars." Both book and unclipped dust jacket are in very good condition. The dust jacket is enclosed within an easily removed clear plastic protective cover. All contents are tight and clean.
