Carmen Naranjo was a Costa Rican author of numerous novels and poetry and short-story collections. She has won several literary awards and she served as the ambassador of Costa Rica to Israel in the 1970s and was a minister of culture. Linda Britt is an essayist, translator, and professor of Spanish at the University of Maine–Farmington. She lives in Lewiston, Maine.
