Silvina Bullrich was an Argentine novelist and journalist. She was the recipient of the Municipal Literary Prize for her novels, and Los burgueses was a bestseller in Argentina. She adapted several novels for film and was also a professor of French literature at the National University of La Plata.

A widowed Buenos Aires artist decides to celebrate her forty-ninth birthday by spending the summer alone in a remote seaside village. Tomorrow I'll Say, Enough is Alejandra's "apprenticeship of solitude", in which she tries to escape the family and social pressures which have restricted her for so long. With humor and irony, she describes the visits by her three daughters who descend upon her with their emotional and financial demands.
