E. Herbert Phillips was Master of the Sequoia Lodge in 1949. Along with Secretary Past Master Cyril W. McClean, he compiled and authored this lodge history. Dr. Paul Rich is a member of the Supreme Court Historical Society and the American Society for Legal History, and a life member of the Southern California Lodge of Research as well as research lodges affiliated with the grand lodges of Illinois, Missouri, Arizona and New York and Texas.
