How refreshing to find a Manual that talks to you, not at you and not having to read it several times to digest its contents. This well laid out Manual with clear, easy to follow sections, good flowing explanations backed up with excellent colour diagrams make it a very useful tool to help anyone understand the techniques for facilitating groups and helping people make meaningful contributions in meetings and projects. I really hope that you find this as informative as I have. In chairing the workshops, I put the techniques to good use. The workshops contained a broad range of stakeholders with diverse views/opinions and it was quite an achievement to arrive at a consensus (albeit with some outstanding issues (there always are though) which we are currently taking forward). The outcome being that we can start IT development work and detailed job design work to the dates currently in our plan as well as getting the operating model closer to sign-off. Tony Mann has been working with groups and teams for 19 years. His first experience of using a different way of working was when he was asked to facilitate a key proposal meeting with a client. The individuals were not comfortable presenting in such a high-powered situation. The team won the contract and a subsequent one! Since then Tony has been in demand by a diverse range of organisations, helping them to change the way they work. He has trained hundreds of managers in using these models, tools and techniques to undertake their problem solving, resolve issues and find creative solutions. He has used the models in this Manual his practical real life situations. He has also built a body of underpinning knowledge and theory, which managers and groups find especially helpful in the companion book, also published by RP Publishing.
