Jackie McLean, a former government economist and political lobbyist from Arbroath, has more recently run her own business in Glasgow. Toxic was shortlisted for the Yeovil Literary Prize in 2011 and Jackie has also been longlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize. She is now working for East Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership.
