The book demonstrates the tension through the ages between God's sovereignty in human history and man's freedom to act as he pleases. It presents historiography from a biblical perspective; an interpretive survey of Western history from the creation to the second advent of Jesus Christ; eternal principles that govern the nations; the origins of contemporary philosophies, ideologies, and thought patterns; and biblical principles for personal application.
