A reasonable condition copy of this unusual history of a major Ontario sporting organization. 150 years of cricket, skating and curling (as well as lawn tennis, bowls and racquets) is celebrated in this wonderful book by Stanley Fillmore. Three major sections of the book, with a large number of illustrations, cover the three sports in the title. Those are preceded by congratulatory messages, early historical notes and illustrations. There is a later chapter on other sports played, epilogue, 1977 members and a bibliography. Complete with a facsimile copy of The Canadian Curler's Manual of 1840, in a pouch on the rear flap of the jacket. Also complete with a letter, dated Oct 1978, from the then Secretary of the Canadian Cricket Association indicating to the first owner of this copy that it is being mailed. This copy has been well used. Cover noticeably bumped at all corners and at spine; some later pages of text are corner-bent at top; otherwise very presentable. Dust jacket has similar wear to corners and around spine; creasing, chipping and some tears along both edges, esp top; foxing on inside; a tear on rear flap. PLEASE NOTE ? This is a heavy book (in excess of 1kg when packed) but postage/shipping within UK is included in the indicated pricing.
