Chris A., whose full name Chris Armold, is a writer, photographer, guitar player, businessman and retired USAF Security Police Master Sergeant. Chris served 20 years in the USAF. He has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a dual-masters degree in Public Administration and Human Resources Development. While stationed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Chris covered the Green Bay Packers as a free-lance writer and photographer for "The Packer Report." In 1999 Chris retired from the military and started a small business in Miamisburg, Ohio. In 2004, Chris became a free-lance writer and photographer for the Ohio publication "Guitar Digest." Chris has interviewed and or photographed the likes of Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Zakk Wylde, Yngvie Malmsteen, Rob Zombie, B.B. King, Mark Knopfler, Godsmack, Disturbed and many, many more. "A Vulgar Display of Power: Courage and Carnage at the Alrosa Villa" is his third book. Chris uses the abbreviated "Chris A. for his music writing & photography work. He uses his full name when writing about military subjects.
