This meant an adjustment from exploring alleys and playing stoop ball to exploring the woods surrounding their home and digging for diamonds in the coalfield under an old oak tree.Raised by a mother who said Simon may be an alien child and should avoid any space crafts which beckoned, and a father who believed strongly in mechanical ingenuity, the sense of contradictions continued city/country, art/science. The format of this book, addresses that duality.
