Margaret Maggie Mae Clay lived most of her life as a Chicago suburbanite, until joining the United States Navy three years ago. She is a writer who also enjoys drawing, painting and photography. She started writing at age thirteen and her poetry style and appearance have evolved over the years with her personality. The illustrations in the book were all drawn by Maggie.
