About the Author:

Jessie Hawkins, MH founded Vintage Remedies to answer the growing need of women and mothers everywhere to have a reliable source to turn to for answers to their natural health questions. What began as a small consulting practice blossomed into multiple written works, an extensive website filled with tips and formulas for natural living and more recently, the Vintage Remedies School of Natural Health, which educates individuals throughout the world about the safe and effective use of herbal remedies and natural health. When she is not consulting, writing or speaking, Jessie stays busy with her many family duties and her home church, Grace Fellowship, PCA. Jessie is a homeschooling mommy, with three children so far, and one more to join the family by way of adoption from Ethiopia. She lives in a Nashville suburb with her husband Matthew and their children.

Review:

Jessie Hawkin's passion and expertise are vast. She writes about health and herbal remedies in such a comforting and reassuring way. --Sara Snow; Green Lifestyle Expert, Author and TV Host

Jessie Hawkins, MH suggests evidence-based, natural medical therapies that have been shown to be clinically effective alternative therapies. As an integrative family medicine physician, I am continually searching for sources of reliable medical information reporting on clinical applications of natural therapies. To that end, Ms. Hawkins' work makes an important contribution to educate everyone, families and health care providers, on clinical applications of proven therapies. Ms. Hawkins easily and respectfully negotiates the line between traditional and natural therapies and she understands the role that each can play in our health, and in how we choose to help our families lead healthy lives. --Daniel B. Kalb, MD, MPH, FAAFP

Jessie has a knack for taking the mystery out of herbal use at home with the family. In her book, The Handbook of Vintage Remedies, she is effective in sharing the wisdom she has gleaned as an experienced mom and herbalist. --Susie Meeks, CPM-TN
