A new graphic novel from Don Hertzfeldt.
The basis for the Oscar-nominated animated film World of Tomorrow.
Don Hertzfeldt is an American writer, animator and independent filmmaker. He is the creator of many animated films, including It's Such a Beautiful Day, World of Tomorrow, The Meaning of Life, and the Academy-Award nominated Rejected. His films have received over 200 awards and have been presented around the world. Seven of his films have competed at the Sundance Film Festival, a festival record. He is also the only filmmaker to have won the Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize for Short Film twice.Review:
The fact of the matter is, Hertzfeldt doesn t just have a proven track record, he has a flawless one. When someone s hit every ball out of the park since day one, as he has, it s probably a safe bet that a new venture into the graphic novel medium will translate remarkably well. As it turns out, this is exactly the case... --Ben Mitchell, Skwigly Magazine
People who know Hertzfeldt s work primarily from his animated shorts such as the Academy Award-nominated Rejected will want to rush to grab a copy of this work. People who don t know his work should correct that oversight, and grab a copy as well. --K.H. Vaughan, Hellnotes
The End of the World continues Hertzfeldt's ability to infuse surprising pathos and humor into grim and surreal situations. A set of storyboards for a beautiful mental film, The End of the World is a great work of art about the apocalypse. --Mitch Anderson, Goodreads
