About the Author:

Brigitte S. Dubiel is a native German born in Frankfurt am Main. After moving to the United States and finally making her home in Texas, Dubiel taught German for many years, first at the Berlitz School of Languages, and later at the Extended Education Division of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Many people taking her German classes did not last long enough to really get into the meat of the language, and the class often ended just as they were beginning to have fun. Therefore, Brigitte started teaching at her home or the home of a student. Her private classes were very successful; some of the students continued learning German with her for as long as five to eight years. Those years of teaching experience are reflected in her unique German grammar book, in which the author uses Hagar® and Peanuts® cartoons in German to enliven the practical exercises found in the book.
