Susan McDuffie is a lifelong fan of historical fiction and mysteries. A childhood interest in Scotland, fueled by stories of the McDuffie clan’s traditional role as “Keeper of the Records” for the Lord of the Isles, eventually led to visits to the “homeland”. Susan hitchhiked her way through the Hebrides and the seeds for the medieval Muirteach MacPhee mysteries, set during the 14th century Scottish Lordship of the Isles, were planted. The Muirteach MacPhee mysteries include A MASS FOR THE DEAD (2006), THE FAERIE HILLS (2011), THE STUDY OF MURDER (2013). THE DEATH OF A FALCON is scheduled for publication in July 2017.
