Raised in the rural farmland of Ohio, I spent a lot of time imagining and wondering in the cornfields. My creativity was roused in early childhood from visionary parents, who were teachers at local schools, and the immense time spent wandering and making up exotic worlds to amuse myself. During a public school intensive art program in high school, I became devoted to the world of creative exploration in clay. Later, while attending a university in New York City, I expanded my skills from self-absorbed art to commercial art. Acquiring deep knowledge of the psychological response to symbol and color, the study of advertising enabled my artistic talent to expand my range of perception on how art could be used in the world. While I became restless in corporate manipulation of art and awareness, I continued to study art techniques at various university and prestige art centers. During my experience working in book publishing in New York, I became enthusiastic in writing books and journalism. From 1990 to the present I have exhibited and performed in several countries bringing visionary art to a vast public. The phantasmagoric creations encourage the viewer to explore perception and consciousness. My artwork has been received with curiosity, delight and deep revelation from the viewer. There have, of course, been those that are aloof and withdrawn from art that dances out of the mainstream box. I began to utilize experimental theatre in 1995 to investigate the potential of reaching more people to the call for changing the perception of separateness and exclusion to interdependence and magical possibilities in realm of human existence. Integrating biological and scientific possibilities, my artwork encourages the viewer to consider the stars, larger cycles, mysticism and mysteries of the universe in a playful and profound way. Exploring DNA activation to the bioluminescent human by naturally stimulating DMT to flow effortlessly from the pineal gland without obstruction from MAO inhibitors. I am on a quest to assemble color, symbol and form and develop art that prepares the viewer for a world beyond their imagination, set into motion at any time in the near future. After completing the 5 part sequence of the Jaguar Magician books, a theatrical exploration and animation are being developed. All of these are devoted to open minds and hearts to a new world paradigm of the Mayan philosophy of, In Lakech, “I am another you”.
