But as that deprecated event did happen without any lafting change in her ladyfhip's apparent rdifh for the good things of this life, it was was fufpected, that twenty years hence her affeitionate heart might find fome pretext for that ftrong attachment to her perfon, which herexceffive attention to her own health and fafety rendered vifible to all who knew her. When the reader, therefore, confiders the infinite fucceffion of laft plans, and final engagements, which fhe would probably have pleaded, his fenfibility will be lefs hurt to find, that death dealt by her, as he did by " the fair lady in coftly robes,'...
