It is perhaps not possible to decide with certainty upon the existing evidence, but I agree with the schol., Hermann, Davies, and others, that considering the context (3) is the natural supposition. The subject of the whole speech is the distribution of parts among the confederates present; we expect therefore that Pylades will be mentioned here in ...
