So viel wir finden konnten, ist wohl als der älteste Fall der aus der Sammlung von John Hunter anzu sehen, welcher sich in derselben, als sie im Jahre 1793 dem College of Surgeons übergeben wurde, vorfand. (nr. Wie Lee 1) berichtet, findet sich in einer fibrosen Geschwulst eine Höhle mit glatten Wandungen über den Inhalt dieser Höhle wird keine nähere Angabe gemacht. Dann haben wir weiter einen Fall von Sewall 2) aus dem Jahre 1815 aufgefunden, wo sich, in einem interstitiellen gewaltigen Fibroi'd, bei einer 20jährigen Frau, zwei Höhlen zeigten, deren eine fast 10 Pfund Flüssigkeit enthielt.
