Excerpt from Der Ursprung der Magyaren: Eine Ethnologische Studie

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the origin of the Magyars, a nomadic people who settled in the Carpathian Basin in the 9th century and became the ancestors of modern-day Hungarians. The author challenges the prevailing theory that the Magyars were a Finno-Ugric people, arguing instead that they were closely related to the Turkic-Tatar peoples of Central Asia. The author draws on a range of historical, linguistic, and cultural evidence to support their argument. They examine the physical characteristics, language, and customs of the Magyars, as well as their relationships with other nomadic peoples in the region. They also analyze the historical records of the Magyars and their neighbors, providing a detailed account of their migrations, conquests, and interactions with other cultures. The book offers a fresh perspective on the origins of the Magyars, challenging long-held assumptions about their ethnic and linguistic affiliations. It provides a comprehensive and well-documented account of the Magyars' early history, shedding light on their complex cultural and linguistic heritage.
