Sir: I have the honor to submit to you my Tenth Annual Report on the Introduction of Domestic Reindeer into Alaska. At the begin ning of the year, learning that the revenue-cutter Bear, which has so largely in the past furnished the transportation of reindeer from Siberia to Alaska, would have less time than usual for this work dur ing the coming season, owing to the additional work imposed upon it by the large influx of miners and others to Cape Nome, it was thought best to try to secure the charter of a steam schooner that could be employed during the whole season in procuring reindeer.
