LAURIE LISLE is a journalist, biographer, essayist, and lecturer who lives in northwestern Connecticut and Westchester County, New York. Raised in Providence, Rhode Island, she comes from a family of New England gardeners. Lisle is the author of Portrait of an Artist: A Biography of Georgia O’Keeffe, Louise Nevelson: A Passionate Life, and Without Child: Challenging the Stigma of Childlessness.
