The third edition of Sophie Levitt s excellent book will be of interest and indeed is essential reading for anyone involved in the management of cerebral palsies, including parents.

Although there are many experienced therapists in the field, there are few who are able to encapsulate their experience in written form. In this respect, Ms Levitt s book remains fairly unique. By virtue of advocating an eclectic approach, her suggestions should not be taken as prescriptive. Rather they should aid therapists in developing a critical approach to accepted dogma, and provide a rich and pragmatic source of information from which therapists and parents can jointly develop their own eclectic approach in a child–led fashion.
