Lois R. Rudnick is Professor of English and American Studies and Director of the American Studies Program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is the author of Utopian Vistas: The Mabel Dodge Luhan House and the American Counter–Culture (1998) and co–editor (with Adele Heller) of 1915, The Cultural Moment: The New Politics, the New Woman, the New Psychology, the New Art, and the New Theater in America (1991). Judith E. Smith is Associate Professor of American Studies and Director, Graduate Program in American Studies, University of Massachusetts Boston. Rachel Lee Rubin is Assistant Professor of American Studies, University of Massachusetts Boston.
