It’s Oscar’s job to tell everyone what to bring to the neighborhood picnic. But the young daydreamer forgot to hand out the lists, so unless he acts fast, there won’t be any food or games! The future boxing champ uses his determination, some lightning-fast moves, and a lot of fancy footwork—including sprinting over avocados to make guacamole and whipping cream by jumping rope—to prepare for the picnic and save the day!
This humorous story, told in both English and Spanish, grew out of Oscar De La Hoya’s recollection of the neighborhood picnics that were an important part of his own childhood. Super Oscar also features exercise tips and fitness advice from the Olympic gold medal winner.

L'autore
Oscar De La Hoya is an Olympic gold medalist and nine-time world boxing champion. He is an accomplished businessman and philanthropist. He helped establish the Oscar De La Hoya Animo Charter High School in East Los Angeles, the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center and the Oscar De La Hoya Children's Center at White Memorial Hospital, and numerous other youth programs.
