Bill Jackson's journalistic travels took him to Europe, Cuba and Israel - not to mention Cut and Shoot, Texas. It was in Texas that he began his newspaper career and where, for a time, he was a feature writer known as the Red River Valley Rambler. He moved to Evansville, Indiana, in 1963, where he successively served as city editor, managing editor, editor and president of local newspapers. He never stopped writing; his newspaper columns won several awards over the years. The Holy Tempel is his first book since he left the news business in 1998. An Arkansas native, Jackson has four grown children and is married to Jill Jackson, music director of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Evansville.
