If what is written here helps somebody get rid of the fear of using their gift of reason, instead of taking so much on faith, then more has been accomplished. If those who believe in a superior power become motivated to live a good life out of love, instead of out of fear, then some more has been accomplished. Just to be able to think and say "Doesn''t it make more sense to . . . ." or "Wouldn''t it make more sense if . . . . " makes a great difference in our life. So many of us have been held back by the tradition of accepting so much on faith, and taught to fear the results of using our own power of reasoning in favor of accepting so much on faith, especially in the religious realm. This book asks you to think about several matters you may not have ever given much thought to, but the truth of which you just accepted on faith !

Vern Ketter writes with the experience of 39 years as a Catholic . . . . 14 years of which were lived as a priest, pastor, school administrator and military chaplain . . . . then married for 25 years, with four stepchildren, while operating a sixty-bed nursing home . . . . then divorced and now for the past 10 years living with his best friend Janet. While stressing that his thoughts are opinions only, he writes to share his education and experience, with those who have some of the same questions and are also looking for answers, just as he is enjoying doing now. He is 76 years of age and living in Chillicothe, Missouri.
