She currently works as a freelance journalist and editorial consultant and her work has appeared in publications such as Child, Fit Pregnancy, Men’s Health, Psychologies, Reader’s Digest, Runner’s World, Sports Illustrated, as well as in the Mail & Guardian. She has won two Pica awards for health journalism, the Novo Nordisk Media Prize, and the Rosalynn Carter Fellowship for Mental Health Journalism from the Carter Center in Georgia to study maternal and infant mental health.
