For hundreds of years, man has hunted for food to exist. In these modern days, hunting has become a sport that many enjoy but others think it is unnecessary since plenty of food is provided locally. But those past traditions must be carried on to maintain conservation of our wild game. To abandon such heritages would allow the wild game to perish due to over breeding, over feeding, starvation and residential expansion. Hunters are the first and best conversationalists to sustain a healthy population of wild game. Through strict controls and selective harvesting our wild game have increased to numbers never before seen. Their quality of life is risen to new heights. The harvesting of wild game provides healthy food and gives us the ability to survive on our own. These traditions must never be lost. This book explains those traditions in an interesting way and makes great reading for people who enjoy the outdoors. It gives plenty of hints and answers to hunting and life in the outdoors. It is told in short stories and many wonderful hunts. It also brings up reasons to hunt and things that many people do not know. It will be a joy for anyone to read if they are hunters or not hunters.

Robert Cuthbert was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan and after grade school, he spent four years in the Air Force. Upon his return, he worked 35 years at a specialty chemical company as a product specialist. During his career there he wrote over a hundred technical reports, many major magazine articles and received product patents. During that time, he spent his free time in hunting the Michigan woods for deer, rabbits and other game. When he retired, he increased his hunting to several other states and built a great trophy room. One of his hunts was featured on national television for a year and was featured in a series of monster bucks on DVD's. Robert has learned much in hunting throughout his life and wants to share that knowledge. He has purchased many items and gives detailed answers to questions of their use. He has seen so much and can keep the reader interested in reading about his many exploits. He feels his book can relate to many middle America hunters and can help them to enjoy hunting. His in depth understanding of hunting gives an insight as to why hunting is not as some people believe. Anyone who thinks hunting is wrong should read this book. You would certainly come out with a new feeling for its reasons.
