A native of West Africa, Kabiru Mohammed was born on February 12th, 1978. As a young boy, he was often shy and reserved which led him to contemplate on many things. Searching for an outlet to express his thoughts and emotions, Kabiru turned to writing which eventually evolved into a secret passion. Soccer is his first love, and he dreamed of becoming a famous soccer player. Whenever anyone needed to find him, they knew exactly where to look-on the field. While playing for various club teams, Kabiru even won a few championships. In 1995, Kabiru and his family moved to America. There, he resided in New York, where he attended school and was part of the two-time regional champion soccer team. When his dream of becoming a famous soccer star didn't come true, the would-be athlete turned to his third love, writing. (In case you were wondering, his second love is cooking.) Kabiru was encouraged by various teachers and professors to pursue a career in writing, but it took this young writer years to finally commit.
