He is also the founder of the Honnold Foundation, an environmental not-for-profit charity that seeks simple, sustainable ways to improve lives around the world.

David Roberts is co-author, with Conrad Anker, of The Lost Explorer, about the discovery of George Mallory's body on Mt. Everest. His most recent book is Alone on the Ice (Norton, 2013).
