For more than four decades, he has held pastorates in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. A native of Poplarville, Mississippi, Dr. Cothen is also the author of The Preacher's Notebook on Isaiah and The Pulpit Is Waiting: A Guide for Pastoral Preaching, both published by Pelican.
Dr. Jerry N. Barlow is a professor of preaching and pastoral work and dean of graduate studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has published a number of articles and chapters in various publications and is also the author of Studying and Serving with Success: Integrating Academics and Ministry, a Workbook, published by Pelican.
