Nancy Barone Williams was diagnosed in 2004 with Rectal Cancer, after nearly a year of denying some very obvious signs. Her hard- hitting story deals with the trials and triumphs of surviving this disease, and the long road to recovery and dignity. During her eight years of hiding the "secret", she encountered several similar survivors who were lost and feeling alone, and many who told her they wish they could encourage loved one's to pursue care. Ms. Williams is hoping that this book not only open the eyes of those that refuse to deal with the signs and symptoms, but comfort the ones that feel isolated in their survival.
