Along the way, Bucek became an All-American hurdler at Texas A&M; a national champion in football in 1939; a Purple Heart winner in World War II; an entrepreneur of incredible resourcefulness; a visionary with one plastic eye; and a legendary story-teller. Rusty Burson is a Vice President with the 12th Man Foundation and the Associate Editor of 12th Man Magazine, where he has covered all Texas A&M sports since 1996.
