Anthology of short stories, poetry and artwork created by members of Dog Eared Writers Workshop. Our writing pieces range from thirty-page stories to seventeen-syllable haiku and encompass such diverse genres as science fiction, mystery, non-fiction and adventure. Our group is comprised of veteran writers, aspiring novices, and every level in between. Amongst our membership, we represent over a dozen published books, while for some of us Philosopher’s Requiem constitutes our initial foray into publication. A number of us write novels while others prefer short stories, and a few specialize in poetry. We meet biweekly to engage in writing exercises and lecture forums as well as group readings and feedback. Some of the pages of this anthology contain work achieved directly from our meeting activities; most of the haiku and senryu poems came out of one such activity. The final entry of this compendium consists of a poignant response to one of our writing prompt exercises which required each writer to compose a letter to a deceased loved one. Its author, one of the few original members of our group, died a week later.
