Mark Thienes' experiential journey encompasses more than 30 years of success in leading teams to winning seasons. He proudly refers to himself as “The Original Gapologist,” and is the founder of the Gapology Institute. Mark has been influenced by great authors like Peter Senge, Chris Argyris, Noel Tichy and David Kolb. Senge wrote about human behavior and creating shared vision in teams, Argyris pioneered the concept of action science, Tichy is a famed leadership consultant and Kolb researched adult and experiential learning. They have had a major impact on his leadership philosophies, but his personal passion is developing winning leaders by spreading the wisdom of other winning leaders. His first and favorite question for winning leaders is, “How did you do that?” He loves to hear of the thought process and the strategies they develop to win. Gapology is about creating winning leaders.
