John F. Goff’s debut novel completes a cycle for him in that it’s a return to his Mississippi Gulf Coast roots. Born and reared in Moss Point, MS he left there as an actor and carved out careers on stage, TV (L.A. LAW, SIMON AND SIMON) and movies (THE FOG, THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY) and 100 others. As a writer he served on staff of both entertainment industry trade papers THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER and DAILY VARIETY as staff reporter/critic and associate editor before turning to screenwriting in the U.S. (BUTTERFLY, THE NIGHT STALKER) and Europe (A TIME TO DIE, HUNDRA) numbering 15. Recently he has returned to the stage in THE LEOPARD, a one-man show as ERNEST HEMINGWAY remembering back on his life during his final hours. Currently he resides in Southern California and returns to Mississippi several times a year.
