While there is no guide that can tell you how to get rich mining for gold, this one has been written for the purpose of helping you be more likely to find gold on your future prospecting trips, or perhaps even in your own backyard; yes, many of you likely have gold in your backyard, especially if you have a stream running through it. All you have to do is know to look!It is easy to become discouraged as a prospector, or allow yourself to believe others when they say “there is no gold left to be found, the old-timers got it all”. I am proud to say, that is a misconception and is genuine disinformation. There are people who think because they have to work 40 hours a week for 40 years, that it isn't fair you can go out and perhaps strike it rich so you don't have to. Or, at the very least, find a few extra bucks that you won't have to work overtime to have. You are just a few pages away from learning the facts; and finding your first gold!
