This is a nice short book that the parent can read to the child when they are getting ready to start the potty training process or going through it. Just hearing that it is the story of a little boy that is going through the process will be reassuring to the child. The author is more than aware that some experiences will be more difficult than others as she has gone through the potty training process with two children. Any tool that can be used to get the child to go potty is a great asset. Through this book, the child can build up the confidence they need to know that it is not something to fear. The new parents may think that getting a child to eat solid foods is a challenge but when it comes to potty training it is a whole different ballgame.

Daisy Wright has a number of interests and one of them is helping children to conquer certain challenges. One of these challenges is potty training. She is well aware of what the process entails from a parenting perspective as she has had to go through it with her own children, the most challenging being with her son Chad who was just not interested in the process. As such, she made the decision to write a book on potty training that parents could read to their children to help them relax and get used to living without the diaper, as well getting used to wearing underwear and using the potty. It may seem simple, but it does help reassure the child that nothing will happen to them when they try this new thing the parent wants to get them to do. Daisy knows the stress and understands that a small accident can cause quite a setback in the process. As such, she chooses to reassure the child that accidents are okay and that they should get right back to potty training. The key is to know the signs that the child is ready and immediately act on it.
