Lowell D. Streiker is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and holds a Ph.D. in religion from Princeton University. He has written, co-authored, edited, and contributed to more than forty books. His humor books include: An Encyclopedia of Humor, A Treasury of Humor, Nelson’s Big Book of Laughter and Nelson’s Little Book of Laughter. He has co-produced and moderated the television series, “Counterpoint,” for CBS. He has appeared on numerous radio and television programs including “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Merv Griffin Show,” and “CBS Morning News.” His most recent books are Surviving the Stained Glass Jungle: The State and Fate of the Christian Ministry and I Wish I’d Said That: Rev. Lowell’s Favorite Aphorisms.
