Chen, Hui Xian, now eighty years young, recounts with astonishing clarity stories from her remarkable life. Born to parents who were both physicians, Chen was one of eleven surviving siblings. It was a privileged beginning, but shortly, the family found itself fleeing from the invasion and subsequent war with Japan. After the war, Chen being fluent in English became, at age twenty-three, a translator for Premier Zhou, En Lai until the government quietly labeled her "an unannounced Rightest" and, just as quietly, she no longer had the important job of translator. Instead, she was transferred to teach English at various institutes, colleges and schools. And, being an intellectual under Chairman Mao's leadership, she was sent to the countryside to be re-educated by the peasants. That's when health issues became a problem. Two unhappy marriages, two babies to care for and feed during an epidemic famine and an unmanageable workload added to Chen's poor health. Then, in 1981, she was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer! At this point the universe took charge of her life and the person we know as our much-loved Qigong Master was born. First, the practice of Soaring Crane Qigong healed her of her cancer. And, finally, with the help-and-encouragement of many Grand Masters of Qigong, the Dao revealed to her, her true life's mission: Go and spread the healing, transcendent powers of Qigong throughout the world. It was a gigantic mission she has magnificently undertaken and accomplished.
