I Will Go With You traces four generations of the Hechler family as they migrate from Gemersheim, Germany in 1809 to the colony of Speier, Russia, where they were one of the founding families, and on to Plantersville, Texas in the last part of the 19th century. Documents, family group sheets, and personal interviews comprise the bulk of this history which culminates in the migration of Dominic and Elizabeth (Dietz) Hechler to Texas in December of 1891. Photographs round out the book. There are also source notes detailing the source of the vital statistics for individuals and the book is completed with an extensive bibliography and footnotes.
