The author lists the stydents (boys and girls ) in attendance for 1939. Includes nicknames. Read more about : St. Peter Claver's, Kelly's Bakery, animal husbandry, cow-barn, cast-offs, piety, Brother Laflamme,Miss Leutsch, and Joe Missabe. The story centers on the Ontario village of Spanish, though no map os provided. It lies near Espanola, Blind River, Sagamok, Spragge, and Walford. Cond : Boards are red with gilt lettering at spine. Rust coloured end-papers. D.J. is missing. Volume is tight, bright, clean, and square. No names, no marlks. Minimal wear. Excellent reading copy. Quote (p. 122) : " It took the entire day to round up the truant heifers, including the three who had taken themselves to Brennan Harbour and the two who had been stranded on the sandbar.
