Anne Craik's first hike took place in Zermatt, Switzerland, when she was eight years old. Since then she grew up to be an avid hiker travelling along innumerable trails in the United Kingdom, continental Europe, and across North America. An enthusiastic member of the Bruce Trail Association, and for several years editor of Footnotes, the quarterly publication of the Toronto Bruce Trail Club, she recently served as text editor for the twentieth edition of the Bruce Trail Association's Trail Reference. She is also the co-author, with Ross McLean and John Sherk, of Country Walks: The Niagara Escarpment.
