Dr. Mercugliano received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training included a residency in pediatrics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental disabilities at the Kennedy Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, and a postdoctoral research fellowship in neuropsychopharmacology in the Departments of Pharmacology and Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mercugliano has been the principal investigator of laboratory research grants to study the development of neurotransmitter systems, behavior, and medication effects and has published in both clinical and basic science journals.
